When Lucy and Ryan contacted us through Google, they were ready to modernize the kitchen in their 1920s Shoreline home. Although the house had plenty of character, the kitchen still featured outdated cabinetry that looked like it belonged in the 1980s.

Lucy had already created a Pinterest board filled with inspiration. She envisioned a modern kitchen with clean lines, warm wood tones, and frameless flat-panel cabinetry.

Before construction began, our team worked closely with Lucy and Ryan to turn their inspiration into a complete design package, including 3D renderings, mood boards, material selections, and construction drawings.

Once the design was approved, we ordered materials and prepared for construction.

Working in an older Shoreline home presented a few challenges. We removed the outdated popcorn ceiling and refinished the drywall to a smooth Level 5 finish, creating the clean surfaces needed for a modern design.

While keeping the original kitchen layout, we updated the electrical, plumbing, flooring, lighting, and appliances.

The new semi-custom frameless cabinetry features flat-panel doors, pull-out trays, pantry storage, and soft-close hardware. We paired the warm wood-tone cabinets with 3CM quartz countertops, a textured tile backsplash, black hardware, and a modern range hood.

After six weeks of construction, Lucy and Ryan's outdated kitchen was transformed into a bright, modern, and functional space that closely reflected Lucy's original Pinterest inspiration.

Beyond the finished kitchen, Lucy and Ryan especially appreciated their experience working with our team throughout the project.

This $90,000 kitchen remodel in Shoreline shows how thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship can bring new life to a century-old home.
