Two Tone Tile Bathroom Remodel in Edmonds, WA

When we first saw this Edmonds bathroom, it felt outdated and heavy. The small square shower tile and thick grout lines made the space look busy and harder to maintain. The homeowners wanted the opposite: something brighter, cleaner, and more modern, with warmer natural elements to keep the bathroom inviting.

Before construction began, we worked closely with the homeowners to understand how they wanted the bathroom to look and function. Our designer developed the layout, coordinated the material selections, and created detailed renderings and construction drawings so the entire remodel could be planned before demolition started.

With the design package complete, we gave the homeowners another way to experience their future bathroom before construction began.

Using an interactive 360° rendering, they could virtually step inside the new space and look around from different angles. It provided a much better sense of how the walnut vanity, walk-in shower, tile selections, lighting, and fixtures would work together as one finished room.

We removed the existing shower and replaced it with a walk-in shower featuring a Kohler low-profile base, large-format tile, a vertical accent wall, recessed niche, and frameless glass enclosure. The larger tile reduced grout lines, creating a cleaner look that is easier to maintain.

A walnut vanity added warmth and natural contrast, while new floor tile with matching tile baseboards created a durable, moisture-resistant finish.

We completed the bathroom with a TOTO smart toilet, updated lighting, and new plumbing fixtures.

In just three weeks, the bathroom was transformed into a brighter, warmer, and more functional space that closely matched the design the homeowners approved before construction.
