When we first saw this Edmonds bathroom, it felt outdated and heavy. The small square tile and thick grout lines made the shower look busy and harder to clean. The homeowners wanted something simpler, brighter, and more modern.

We started by removing the old shower completely. In its place, we built a new walk-in shower with a Kohler, low-profile base and large-format wall tile.

Using larger tile means fewer grout lines, which makes the space feel cleaner and easier to maintain. To add warmth and character, we installed a vertical accent wall tile inside the shower. The texture adds depth without making the space feel busy.

A recessed niche keeps products organized, and the frameless glass enclosure keeps everything open and bright.

Next, we installed a beautiful walnut vanity. The rich wood tone brings warmth into the room and adds a natural contrast to the soft neutral tile. Its clean lines and modern legs give the space a fresh, updated feel without overcomplicating the design.

We also upgraded the flooring with durable tile that ties the entire bathroom together. Instead of traditional painted baseboards, we installed tile baseboard trim. This not only looks cleaner, but it also holds up better to moisture over time.

To finish the space, we installed a Toto smart toilet for added comfort and modern functionality. Updated lighting and plumbing fixtures completed the look.

In just three weeks, this bathroom went from dated and difficult to maintain to clean, warm, and thoughtfully designed, a space that feels modern, functional, and built to last.
