Project Story

When we first stepped into this Edmonds kitchen, it was clear the kitchen no longer fit the way the homeowners lived. The layout felt tight, the space lacked storage, and the dark finishes made the kitchen feel smaller than it should. Because they loved to cook and host family gatherings, they wanted a kitchen that felt open, functional, and visually striking.

We began by rethinking the entire layout to improve the flow and create a space that naturally connects with the rest of the home. The new design introduced more storage, better work zones, and a brighter overall feel.

The kitchen design centers around a two-tone cabinet layout, featuring deep navy base cabinets paired with soft beige-white shaker upper cabinets. Warm gold hardware adds contrast and ties the colors together beautifully.

One of the true highlights of this kitchen is the custom built vent hood. Our cabinet maker crafted the hood specifically for this space, sanding and painting it to perfectly match the surrounding cabinetry. The result is a seamless centerpiece that anchors the entire design.

To further open up the space, we added additional lighting throughout the kitchen, making the room feel brighter and more inviting while highlighting the cabinetry and finishes.

Throughout the entire process, the homeowners were closely involved in each design decision, from cabinet colors to hardware selections.

By the time this kitchen remodeling project was complete, the kitchen no longer felt like just another room in the house. It became the heart of the home, a bright, welcoming space designed for cooking, hosting, and gathering for years to come.
